The Bay Area Day of Remembrance Consortium presents the Bay Area Day of Remembrance 2017, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Executive Order 9066.

"Fragile Freedoms: Carrying the Light for Justice" is on Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm at AMC Kabuki 8 Cinemas, 1881 Post St, San Francisco.

Donald Tamaki, Partner, Minami Tamaki LLP, and a member of the Fred Korematsu coram nobis legal team, will deliver remarks. Jana Katsuyama of FOX 2 will emcee.

The event will also feature:
- EO 9066 Performance
- Ben Takeshita, Clifford I. Uyeda Peace & Humanitarian Awardee
- Candle Lighting Ceremony, Jeremy Chan and Lakambini O’Donnell, Co-emcees

There will be a community reception at JCCCNC, 1840 Sutter, following the Candle Lighting Procession led by the Japanese American Religious Federation.
