Author of "Enduring Conviction," Lorraine Bannai will speak at the Main Library on Saturday, September 17, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Ms. Bannai, an attorney, law professor and member of the Fred T. Korematsu’s legal team, shares the story of the 22-year-old who refused to obey the Executive Order that culminated in the incarceration of over 110,000 Japanese Americans during World War II. Bannai will describe the challenges leading to overturning Korematsu’s conviction. A book signing will follow the discussion.
Free admission, no prior registration required.
