HOW YOU CAN HELP
The success of our programs are dependent on the generous work and time given by our volunteers and interns. Only through your help can we continue our mission to educate for social justice.
ASSEMBLE CURRICULUM KITS
Just a couple hours will allow you to make a direct contribution and the teachers we support.
NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR SOCIAL STUDIES (NCSS) 2017 CONFERENCE IN SAN FRANCISCO
Our Executive Director, Karen Korematsu, is co-chair of this year's event. We will need volunteers to help the hundreds of teachers attending the event.
WRITE LESSON PLANS/CURRICULUM
ATTENTION EDUCATORS: We need your help to create new lessons that connect the Fred Korematsu story to other civil rights history and issues.
Write lessons for our 2018 Calendar: "Displacement: Homeland Taken Away." We will connect the displacement of Japanese Americans during WWII with current issues of other displacement such as: refugees, indigenous communities, and gentrification.
ANNUAL FRED KOREMATSU DAY OF CIVIL LIBERTIES & THE CONSTITUTION EVENT
We need volunteers to help us during our annual event every January. We also need help to brainstorm, coordinate, and outreach in the months leading up to the event.
